The Ex9UEP type surge arresters are designed to protect photovoltaic applications. They are designed and manufactured according to the standards of EN 61643-31, PV class T1+T2. An optical indicator of the varistor insert status informs about the element wear.

The built-in auxiliary contact allows the electrical signalling of the insert status. Safe replacement of worn out varistor elements is possible without disconnecting the device.
